Charges Dropped Against Former TMS Teacher

Steven Tozier, who resigned from his position as a physical education teacher, was facing charges of second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace.

Charges against former Tolland Middle School teacher Steven Tozier have been dropped, according to an email update from the Connecticut Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN) Program, a notification service provided by the Connecticut Judicial Branch.

Tozier was charged with reckless endangerment and breach of peace last summer after he allegedly placed a 13-year-old male student in a headlock while students were walking to class.

He later resigned from his position at the middle school.
