Eagles Soar Past Falcons, 17-3

Dallon Asnes and Ethan Sikoski pace Tolland to an easy baseball victory Wednesday at Fermi.

Dallon Asnes pitched a complete game four-hitter, striking out nine batters, and helped himself at the plate with a pair of hits as cruised past 17-3 in CCC East baseball action Wednesday in Enfield.

Ethan Sikoski drove in five runs and scored four times for the Eagles, who produced a 17-hit attack against three Fermi pitchers.

Tolland batted around twice in the first four innings, establishing a 15-3 lead by the midway point of the game.

Sikoski, Brett Ackerley and Jacob White each had three hits for the Eagles, while Mike Johnson had a pair of safeties. Ackerley and Jamison Boucher both scored three times, while Johnson, Asnes and Chris Byam each crossed the plate twice. Johnson, Ackerley and White each knocked in a pair of runs.

For Fermi, Alex Zachary belted a triple, while Dan Brunetti provided effective relief pitching in the late innings, striking out five.

Both teams return to action with home games Monday at 3:45 p.m. Tolland (2-2) hosts Newington, while Fermi (1-3) entertains New Britain.
