Bus Trip - Connecticut's Civil War Treasure Troves

Join historian and author Bill Hosley for a day-long bus trip to some of the state's most important, and sometimes unsung, Civil War collections and sites. The group will depart from and return to the Connecticut Historical Society. This trip is part of the Civil War 150 commemoration.

Itinerary:

8:30 am depart CHS | 4:30 pm return to CHS (reception to follow)

Rockville | New England Civil War Museum

Middletown | Middlesex County Historical Society
(General Joseph Mansfield House)

Winsted | Three of the state's best Civil War monuments &
Winchester Historical Society's Solomon Rockwell House

Hartford | State Capitol and Museum of Connecticut History

$70 per person | $60 for CHS members. Your fee includes:

~ Bus transportation, all site admissions, and tour narration
~ Box lunch and en route refreshments ~
~ Ample free parking for the day ~
