Pediatric First Aid with Adult Child CPR

This course is for the lay rescuer or bystander who needs a credential card documenting successful course completion of adult and child CPR that may be required in the workplace or to respond to an emergency in the community.

You will have the knowledge and skills to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke, difficulty breathing, choking, and relief of foreign body airway obstruction for all ages. Participants will learn to help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and have the knowledge and skills to help prevent injuries, manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes before EMS arrives.

To obtain a two year Course Completion Card, participants must pass skills practical test and a written test.

This course meets DPH requirements for Child Care Providers (Day Care) when additional required material is covered.
