Four Students Finish Top 10 in the Connecticut Stockmarket Game

This is a great financial literacy game for the students.

Playing the stockmarket is becoming a successful pastime for some Tolland students. Four students recently finished in the top 10 of a statewide stockmarket game meant to teach students financial literacy.

The game challenged students to use various tools, including reading local news outlets to consider business trends, research techniques and basic life lessons in match and economics, to determine the worth and risk of a stock.

James Ferris, of Ferris Financial, acted as the group's consultant and met with the students during the semester to talk about the market and explain the game.
