Get Summer Reading Done at Tolland Public Library

The library has titles from the THS and TMS summer reading assignment lists available for Tolland students.

It's not quite time to head back to school, but July is a great month to really tackle those summer reading lists!

Tolland students with summer assignments can stop by the to get started. Children's Librarian Virginia Brousseau said that the library has the high school and middle school lists available, as well as most of the listed titles ready to loan. Students can also request a book from another library if there are no copies in Tolland, she said.

"Our goal is for Tolland’s students to have a happy and productive summer reading experience," Brousseau said.

In addition to the schools' reading assignments, the library has recommended reading lists from a bunch of other great sources.

The Tolland Public Library Foundation has purchased many of the titles from the high school AP and Honors list, Brousseau added.

She also reminds parents that only the high school has required reading assignments; the middle school list contains suggested reading.
