Tolland's kindergartners rode the buses for the first time at the orientation.
Tolland's newest students had their practice run for their first day of school last Friday, during Birch Grove's kindergarten orientation day.
"The bus company uses it as a way to practice, and we use it as a way to orient the students to the school," said Principal Thomas Swanson.
Buses picked up the kindergartners and their parents and dropped them off at to explore their new classrooms and meet their teachers.

Swanson said that 156 students are enrolled in kindergarten this year.
