RHAM Prevails Against Tolland Volleyball

The loss was the second game of Tolland's season and the first loss.

Tolland girls volleyball had their first loss on Friday night against last year's Class M champions, RHAM High School, according to Tolland coach Ken Brown.

While Tolland won the first set (21-25), RHAM dominated the next three sets (25-18, 25-12, and 25-16) for the win. 

Brown said that Tolland's Kristin Schatzlein led with 12 kills, with Lindsay Price following with nine. Taylor Hammeke had three kills and four blocks.

RHAM's Sarah Veilleux had 19 kills, and Laura Smolinski had 34 assists.

According to the posted schedule, the team will play Rockville, Monday at 5 p.m. at Rockville High School.
