Tolland Middle School physical education teacher Steven Tozier, who is facing charges for allegedly placing a student in a headlock last June, will no longer work for the Tolland school district as of Oct. 31.

According to the pending minutes on the school district website, the school board approved a separation agreement with Tozier after going into executive session at its Oct. 10 meeting.

Tozier was placed on administrative leave this summer. He is facing charges of reckless endangerment and breach of peace. His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 27 at Rockville Superior Court. Tozier plead not guilty to both charges.
