Second Graders Rock-Out Birch Grove Style

Family and friends of Birch Grove Primary School students enjoyed a night of musical entertainment Tuesday.

With cameras at the ready, proud family and friends watched as their second graders shimmied, swayed, clapped and stomped... oh, and sang.

The is hosting a series of concerts this month in the school's gymnasium, and Tuesday night students from four of the second grade classes dressed their best and remembered their lines as they sang and danced for their captive audience.

As adults waived their hands in encouragement and younger siblings, possibly, yelled "Yay!" from the audience, the students in Mrs. Barna and Mrs. Tyler’s classes and Mrs. Ober and Mrs. Semrow’s classes did their level best to remember the choreographed dance steps as they sang to tunes such as The Lion Sleeps Tonight and the kindness song.
