Tolland Public Schools Receive Risk Management Achievement Award

Tolland Public Schools are the recent recipient of a 2013 Risk Management Achievement Award.

The district was recognized by the Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA), for its "New And Innovative Risk Management Initiatives," including its “Clear Path” program to "reduce slip and fall injuries," according to CIRMA.

Following the schools' implementation of the "Clear Path" program, which alerts employees via e-mail which paths have been cleared in poor weather conditions, no slip and fall accidents occurred in the district during the 2011-12 policy year, according to CIRMA.
