Dog Agility Show at Star Hill

Star Hill in Tolland is hosting their first dog agility competition all day today and tomorrow! This show will feature two rings, which will be set up in their Navy turf field.

Star Hill is running a shuttle service. There will be remote parking at Wilson Woodworks and NESSteel, both located on Gerber Drive and close to Star Hill. Please plan on arriving for your activity a little early in case you need to use the shuttle parking, and please do not park on Gerber Drive or in the cul-de-sac.

All swimming and diving lessons are still on as scheduled, and the fitness center will be open for member's use.

If you are participating in an activity in the dome this weekend, please note that Star Hill will have one rotary entrance to the dome designated for "agility participants" and one for "other participants" (soccer, basketball, etc...).  They will also have some fencing up to try and designate a walking area for dogs and owners to move back and forth from the fields.  Most important is to explain to the kids that these dogs are "working" at these competitions, and can become very focused, the same way an athlete can before a big game.  Please help the kids understand that they should not appoach a dog to pet him/her without asking the owner's permission first.  Extending this courtsey to the owners and animals will be very helpful.

If you have any questions please call the facility at 860-871-8800.
