A Sprint Triathlon is a condensed version of a regular triathlon. Ours consists of: 300 yard swim 12 mile bike ride 3.1 mile run. Adult age divisions will be: 15 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 & Up. This is a good event for those who’ve always wanted to try a triathlon but were intimidated by the longer distances. Category placement will be based on your age as of December 31st, 2011. Prizes will be awarded to first place in each age group for male and female. All competitors will get a t-shirt, swim cap and a finisher award. The course starts and ends at Crandall Park.
Race entry fee - $70.00. We will begin accepting registrations on Monday, January 9th. Complete race information including course map, rules and other pertinent information will be posted in January on the Town of Tolland website at www.tolland.org. Look under recreation/upcoming events to register on-line.
