Tolland All-Stars Defeat Manchester American

The 9- and 10-year-old baseball all-stars' bats were hot Wednesday.

Tolland Little League's youngest all-stars had a good night at the Ed Dettore Field in Manchester.

The 9- and 10-year-old team defeated Manchester American by a score of 18 to 3 over four innings.

For Tolland: Robert Gagnon, who pitched a one hitter through four innings, walking four and striking out six. Third baseman, Jack Cerra went 2-4 with a home run and four RBI, and Trey Gonzalez.

For Manchester: Seth Richards had the only hit for Manchester, although Chris Fournier and Nhasean Murphy put in good efforts.

The Tolland team will play Windsor Locks this afternoon in Windsor Locks.
