Tolland Teams Advance to State Sectional Tournament
The 12-year-old and Juniors All-Star teams won the District 8 Championship and are gearing up for the sectional tournament.
Tolland Juniors
The 13- to 14- year-old team won the District 8 Championship with a win over Somers, 10-3. The game started off close, with the score tied 2-2 at the bottom of the sixth.
The game remained tied until the top of the eighth inning with a huge offensive surge from Tolland. Tolland scored eight runs. Somers scored a single run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Andrew Schadt pitched for five innings, including a portion of the sixth inning, and allowed four hits. Ryan Baer pitched relief.
Schadt led the offensive comeback with four hits, followed by Kevin Salina, with three, and Brendan Byam, Joey Szabo and Colin Keane, each with two hits.

Tolland will be playing in the Connecticut State Sectional Tournament on Friday, July 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Clinton. ‘
Tolland 12-Year-Old All-Stars
The 12-year-old team became District 8 Champions after winning against Thompsonville, 14-10 on Saturday. The team has begun playing in the sectional tournament.
