First Tolland 300 Club member being honored by town council

David S. Joyce, seen here with Celeste Senechal, chairwoman of the Tolland 300th Anniversary Committee, will be honored tonight by the town council. Celeste, Kathy Bach, vice president of the Tolland Historical Society, and Jack Scavone, chairman of the town council, will present Dave a certificate of thanks for being the first resident to donate $300 to the anniversary effort. He had the idea to ask residents to donate $300 for the anniversary events planned for 2015, so the anniversary committee came up with the Tolland 300 Club. Club members will receive a commemorative pin, early and freqent updates about anniversary plans and will be listed at tolland300.org and on all promotional materials.
