Tolland Boys Soccer Moves to 5-1
After squandering an early two goal lead, the Tolland Boys varsity soccer squad scored one goal in each overtime to post a 4-2 win at Hartford Public. Junior Zach Parracino scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Eagles to their 5th win against just one loss.
Parracino's first goal came just 1:09 into the match off a feed from Tyler Impey. Parracino made it 2-0 at 6:30 as he pounced on a weak clearance of a Jordan Smith throw for an unassisted tally.
Hartford Public's Jose Escobar broke in alone on goal off a pass from Jake Trotman to bring them back to 2-1 at 36:58 of the first period.
The same pair combined in reverse at 31:20 of the 2nd half to knot the score at 2-2, with Trotman scoring off Escobar's assist.
Parracino scored the eventual game-winner with just 19 seconds left in the first overtime, as he knocked home Kamini Russel's save of a Tyson Bridge shot. Tyler Impey added an insurance goal at 3:30 of the 2nd overtime with the assist from Parracino.
Nick Olson had 5 saves in goal for Tolland. Kamine Russel made 8 saves for Hartford Public.
With the win, Tolland moves to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the CCC East. Hartford Public drops to 1-4 on the season and 0-4 in the CCC East.
Tolland travels to Fermi for a 3:45 pm match on Thursday.
