New program: 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

     The Foundation board of directors voted this week to give the library a $550 grant to help launch the "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten" program.
     The library will be offering incentives to parents and caregivers of young children to read that many books to the kids from their birth to age five.
