The United Congregational Church of Tolland located at 45 Tolland Green will present a special Christmas music service on Sunday December 22nd. This service will feature the church’s Chancel Choir and a Brass Quintet.
The brass quintet, comprised of UCONN music majors, will play some exciting selections with our church organist. In addition, to this quintet accompanying our hymns and the two choir anthems, they will present three very special pieces. The prelude music will include “Christmas Fantasy” and the exciting finale of Camille Saint-Saens’ Symphony #3 the “Organ Symphony.” The postlude will be “Flourish on Joy to the World.” These selections, in addition to the great Chancel Choir anthems, are sure to inspire and please the congregation and guests. You won’t want to miss a note, so please arrive early. The Sunday services normally begin at 8:30 and 10:00 AM., but if you would like to hear the brass quintet’s special prelude please plan to arrive by 8:20 a.m. or 9:50 a.m.
