Council to Meet and School to Start This Week
The education reserve fund is on the council agenda.
• The Town Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 7:30 art the Hicks Municipal Center.
Here are the agenda highlights:
* Consideration of a revision to the Coe of the Town of Tolland, Chapter 6 - Code of Ethics, persons subject to disclosure of financial interest.
* Consideration of an education reserve fund ordinance.
* Consideration of a resolution authorizing the application for a state public library construction grant.
* Consideration of a resolution making an appropriation of $130,499 from the Emergency Storm Fund’s fund balance to allocate the funds approved by FEMA for actual costs from the February 2013 blizzard and to appropriate funds for future Board of Education emergency reserves. The resolution will also set a public hearing for Sept 10 to take comment on the matter.
• School is scheduled to start Wednesday.
