Support for a Democratic Town Council

As Tolland's Democratic candidates for the Board of Education, we are proud to endorse our Democratic Town Council candidates. This group is energetic, experienced, and knowledgeable, and shows a willingness to work tirelessly in order to benefit the residents of our town.

This has been such an exciting campaign process for us!  Town Council, Board of Education, Planning and Zoning, and Zoning Board of Appeals candidates have met together at least twice a month.  We have walked neighborhoods and attended civic meetings.  In the process of getting to know residents better, we have gotten to know each other.  Those conversations are the driving force of our work together, toward helping Tolland become the best it can be.  Our Town Council candidates have been excellent partners during this process and our trusting and effective relationships will directly benefit you once we are elected.

This dynamic group brings many unique skills and talents to the table. Jan Rubino is an incumbent who has served on, not only the Town Council, but also on the Board of Education and Zoning Board of Appeals.  She is an Army veteran and Bookkeeper/Quickbooks advisor.  She thrives on working with people, for people.  She inspires and motivates us daily.  Rick Field, also an incumbent, has 28 years experience on both the Town Council and the Board of Education.  He is the first to support new ideas, giving us confidence to try them out.  Paul Krasusky is a life long Tolland resident, a banker with a strong background in managing financial portfolios.  He talks to us about New Tolland (building boom of the 90's to early 2000's) and Old Tolland, educates us on different perspectives and reminds us that we are here for all of Tolland. Jackie Kolb is our experienced project leader.  She is adamant about assessing the budget process week by week to clarify what works and what needs improvement.  Steve Jones is an avid learner.  He knows as much about Tolland's political process as many veterans.  In his role as Chair of the Democratic Town Committee, he has demonstrated confidence and poise beyond his years.
