The town of Tolland's offices are located in the beautiful red-brick building at the edge of the Tolland Green. TheMore Hicks Memorial and Municipal Center, or town hall, houses the main town departments: Public Safety, Recreation and Human Services, Development, Judicial, Records and Elections, Financial, and Executive. Town council meetings are held on the sixth floor on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm.

Tolland Fire Department

The Tolland Fire Department, conveniently located on Route 195, within half a mile of I-84,  has a rich history ofMore serving this town since 1933. Currently, the department consists of 54 members: a combination of EMTs, volunteer firefighters and six career firefighters. A training center was opened in 1998 to house administrative offices and to be a place to train firefighters and EMTs, as well as function as an emergency operations center for all department heads during an emergency.

The Troop C Barracks flanks Nye-Holman State Forest, not far from the scenic Heron Cove Park. The 25,000 squareMore foot facility provides police services to 10 towns from Somers, Stafford and Union down to Vernon, Coventry and Mansfield. Troop C provides primary police services to Tolland and seven other towns. In towns with their own full-time police departments, Troop C supplies canine and crime support, as well as other resources as needed.
