State Police: Drunken Driver Came to Pick up Drunken Driver

An Ashford man who went to the Troop C State Police barracks in Tolland to pick up someone who had been arrested for drunken driving was drunk himself, according to state police.

On 3 a.m. on Wednesday, David Guiles, 52, of 156 Southworth St., drove to Troop C to pick up an unidentified individual, according to police. Troopers interviewed Guiles and determined he was intoxicated, according to an arrest report.

Guiles was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the report indicates. He is scheduled to appear on Rockville Superior Court on June 5, state police said.
